Responding to the Recent Hurricanes

Dear Friends,

The aftermath of the recent hurricanes has become a national crisis. Those of us with resources to spare have been
asked to help, and we must rise to the challenge. I urge each of you to consider donating money and supplies
through one of the many established charities working to sustain life and bring hope to the victims of these hurricanes.

As always, I appreciate the strong commitment and generous spirit of the people of
Baltimore County, and I am hopeful that we can make a difference for those on the Gulf Coast.

Do You Need Assistance?

• Find the help you or your family members need through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
  
  
• Get help with insurance questions, including how to file a claim, through the Maryland Insurance Administration.
  
  
• The Baltimore County Public Library has researched a number of local services available to evacuees.
  
  
• Connect For Kids provides a wide range of guidance for families with children.

How Can You Help?

• Donate to charities or volunteer with groups designated by FEMA.    
  
  
• Find emergency pet shelters and disaster resources for pets and their owners impacted by the recent Hurricanes:
