Adoptable Pets
Thea
Hi, my name is Thea. When I first arrived at the shelter I was a bit shy and unsure about people. I am still learning that people aren't so bad. All the volunteers and staff have been helping me to come out of my shell.
I am a sweet and affectionate girl but I just need a little time to warm up to you.
Intake Reason: Stray
Medical info: FIV+
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV is a lifelong illness that can reduce the immune system of affected cats. Because of this, affected cats may exhibit recurrent infections, slow or prolonged recovery times, and may have an increased risk for certain types of cancers. FIV cannot be spread to humans or other species of pets. FIV is a virus that is transmitted from cat to cat, mainly through bite wounds. As such, it is important to adopt FIV positive cats as only cats, into FIV only households, or into stable households where the cats will not fight.
