Youth Services
To achieve success in today’s competitive economy requires young adults to have the education, technical skills, work experience and workplace conduct employers expect. Young people—especially those who face challenges such as homelessness, poverty, or disabilities—often need help to achieve post-secondary education and career employment. Through partnership with a variety of organizations, schools and government agencies, we collaborate with efforts aimed at increasing and enhancing opportunities for teens and young adults.
The Youth Services Unit provides support for programs that engage eligible young people who are in school, have graduated or dropped out of high school, by providing valuable education, training, counseling and work-based learning opportunities.
CCBC LEAP PROGRAM
The CCBC Learn, Earn, Achieve and Progress (LEAP) Program provides out-of-school young adults with the opportunity to receive holistic training and support services that increase knowledge, workforce preparation, academic skills, competencies and credentials leading to entry-level employment and long-term success in a career pathway. These comprehensive education and employment services will help to prepare young adults for success in the workplace and in life.
