Overview of Immigration by Giuliana Valencia-Banks, Immigration Affairs Outreach Coordinator for Baltimore County Government. U.S. immigration law is complex. During the Immigration 101 presentation, attendees will learn about the history of immigration law, common immigration concepts, and how the system works. The presentation also covers not only the basics of immigration status and how to gain citizenship but also the statistics, myths, and facts of immigration in Baltimore County and the United States. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities faced by our new neighbors. Registration is required.

Directions: Take Baltimore Beltway I-695 to I-83 North to Exit 27, Mt. Carmel Road toward Hereford.  Turn right at the first light onto York Road.  Turn left at the first light onto Monkton Road.  Senior Center is 100 yards on the left, Hereford Senior Center/Summit Manor.
