Development Plans Review
RESPONSIBILTIES
The Development Plans Review (DPR) Bureau's primary functions include:
- Reviewing zoning special exceptions, variances and special hearing requests for Public Works issues; as well as BGE, Verizon and other private utility permits for development-related issues
- Attending concept and development plan conferences, as well as administrative hearings
- Reviewing and approving landscape and photometric plans, as well as development plans on behalf of the Department of Recreation and Parks for Local Open Space issues
- Reviewing and approving all development plans, minor subdivisions, infill lots, construction drawings and building permits for compliance with the following:
- Engineering requirements regarding access, water supply, wastewater removal and storm drainage
- Baltimore County Code
- Development Management and Plan Review Policy Manual
- Design Manual
- Standard Details
- Landscape Manual
- Local Open Space Manual
