upcoming stream restoration project
The Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability has an upcoming stream restoration project starting this fall on Scotts Level Branch in Randallstown. This project is a continuation of the Upper Scotts Level Branch project completed this spring. The project will continue from the pedestrian walking bridge at Hendon and Allenswood Roads downstream to Old Court Road. This project design will allow stormflow events to access the restored floodplain and spread out, reducing erosion to the restored stream channel.
Information: If you are interested in obtaining more information about this project or learning more about stream restoration, please call 410-887-2904. Please browse the Watershed Restoration webpage to view our videos about stream restoration, specifically on Scotts Level Branch, and what to expect during construction.
