Recreation and Parks Board Meeting
The Board of Recreation and Parks will meet on Wednesday, September 18, at 7 p.m. at the Baltimore County Public Schools Greenwood Administration Building E, Room 114, 6901 North Charles Street, Towson, Maryland 21204. Screen on the Green
Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks will host Screen on the Green summer movie series, beginning in July and running through September. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Admission is free. Pre-show activities begin at 6 p.m. and the movie begins at 7 p.m.

Waterfront Festival
Join the Department of Recreation and Parks at the Waterfront Festival on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rocky Point Park and Beach, 2200 Rocky Point Road, Essex, Maryland 21221. Celebrate the County’s waterfront culture and history with live music, food trucks, kayaking, games and more! Join local community organizations and businesses in environmental-based activities, take a guided canoe tour and visit our first-responder water vessels. Admission is free. Register on the CivicRec online platform (registration is encouraged but not required). Rain date is Saturday, October 5.

Stansbury Manor Pumping Station
The Stansbury Manor Sewage Pumping Station (a new station) is online after construction. Work began in January 2022. Construction, which is about 99 percent complete, is expected to cost $5,045,000. The job is waiting on approval of operation and maintenance manuals and as-builts so closeout can begin.

Red House Run Structural Sewer Rehabilitation
Baltimore County has started a major sewer rehabilitation project consisting of almost 15 miles of sewer line in the Overlea and Rosedale areas. Work on the $4.7 million project began in June 2022. It's approximately 95 percent toward completion. The Red House Run Structural Sewer Rehabilitation project is part of the County's Consent Decree—the County’s agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to improve the entire sanitary system and eliminate sanitary sewer overflows.

Essex Structural Sewer Rehabilitation
Baltimore County is investing $4.4 million into structurally rehabilitating sewer lines in Essex in the area of Eastern Boulevard, Mace Avenue and Riverside Drive. The County’s contractor will line almost 15 miles of sewer pipe (eight-, 12-, 15- and 18-inch diameter conduits) during the next year. The project is about 98 percent complete.

Mohrs Lane Bridge
The Mohrs Lane Bridge (Bridge B-0143) over the CSX Railroad, north of Pulaski Highway, was closed in 2007 because of structural deterioration. Demolition was completed by CSX in 2011 and Baltimore County assumed ownership with plans to rebuild the bridge. A new bridge is awaiting the completion of the engineer’s design. The structure is scheduled to be advertised for construction this year. The final plans are almost complete. The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) was approved for this project and the process to acquire the right of way has begun. This bridge will be part of the future Campbell Boulevard Corridor.

Towson Water Pumping Stations
Baltimore County is renovating the Towson Water Pumping Stations. This project is one percent complete. The cost of this work is $10,060,000.

Hospital Drive and Lennings Lane Water Main Replacement
Baltimore County began a water main replacement project located in the Rosedale area of Baltimore County, bounded by Franklin Square Boulevard on the northwest and Philadelphia Road on the southeast. The project will consist of replacing 6,700 linear feet of eight-inch and 12-inch water mains at a cost of $2.7 million. The project, which is nine percent complete, is expected to take one and a half years to complete.

Loch Raven Boulevard 12- and 24-Inch DIP Water Main Replacement
While partnering with the State Highway Administration, the Department of Public Works and Transportation will be replacing 5,650 linear feet of 12- and 24-inch water main from Joppa Road to Taylor Avenue. The entire project started in May and is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2026. The project is 10 percent complete.

Charles Street Water Main Replacement
While partnering with the State Highway Administration, the Department of Public Works and Transportation started replacing 4,200 linear feet of 12- and 16-inch water main from the Baltimore City line to Bellona Avenue. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in 2026. The project is 17 percent complete.

Development Meetings include Community Input, Concept Plan, County Review, Development Review Committee and Hearing Officers Hearings.
Zoning Hearings include Special Exceptions, Variances and other issues before the Office of Administrative Hearings of Baltimore County.
