Baltimore County Police Search for Armed Subject
UPDATE February 9, 2023
Overnight members of the Baltimore County Police Department continued with search efforts to locate and apprehend 24-year-old David Emory Linthicum. Through the investigative process, the clothing description for Mr. Linthicum has been updated. The subject is now believed to be wearing a pair of dark shorts and a dark short-sleeved shirt. While all roads in the area of Powers Avenue have reopened, a shelter-in-place advisory remains in place. While this search continues, all Baltimore County residents are being asked to remain vigilant and be aware of their surroundings. At 2:30 p.m., officers with the Baltimore County Police Department responded to the 10000 block of Powers Ave. in Cockeysville in reference to a person in crisis. Once on scene, a family member escorted officers to the person. As officers interacted with the male subject, he discharged a firearm. A Baltimore County police officer was injured. The officer was taken to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Police are currently searching for 24-year-old David Emory Linthicum. He is 5’7”, 165 pounds, with auburn colored hair, brown eyes, and a beard. Linthicum is considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Please call 911.
