Charges Filed in Essex Shooting
UPDATE JUNE 4, 2023 (12:05 P.M.)
On June 3, members of the Baltimore County Police Department arrested two juveniles in connection with this incident. The juveniles arrested were both injured during the incident and have been charged as adults for attempted murder and use of a firearm in a felony crime of violence. Based on the investigation, this was an isolated incident. The juveniles are currently being held without bond.

Based on the detective's investigation so far, this was a verbal disagreement that escalated in front of Sandalwood Elementary School.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have determined that this is an isolated incident and are not looking for any suspects at this time. Charges are currently pending in the case.

Medics transported two juveniles suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to a local hospital.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department are responding to the scene of a reported shooting with injury. At approximately 8:10 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of South Marlyn Ave., 21221.
As detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, they are asking anyone with information concerning the case to contact 410-307-2020.
