Summer Youth Programs: More than Just Fun and Games

Throughout the summer, the Baltimore County Police Department continues to engage young people countywide through a variety of youth activities. While some, like Cops & Crafts, are brand new, others, such as the Youth Leadership Academy, are long-time favorites. However, what each has in common is an opportunity for officers and kids to have fun and bond in meaningful ways.
In some cases, these touchpoints become turning points. Baltimore County Police Officer J. Prudent is a perfect example. The activities he participated in as a youth opened the door to policing. As a three-year member of the Department, he is now shaping the lives of youth through programs such as these:
