Unsolved Valentine's Day Murder

February 13, 2024

ORIGINAL February 13, 2024

As detectives continue to search for information in the 2009 Valentine's Day murder of Towson University graduate Daniel Coverston, his parents remain hopeful that someone will come forward with information about his killing. Daniel's body was discovered in his apartment in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle, 21239, around 2:50 p.m. on February 14, 2009. Daniel had left his apartment door unlocked for friends to periodically check on him as he recovered from eye surgery. He was under a doctor's order to rest lying face down, which is how he was found on the afternoon of February 14, 2009. The 22-year-old was discovered deceased suffering a gunshot wound to the head.

Daniel's family still mourns his death fifteen years later. They believe someone who attended Towson University has important information that could help detectives solve this case. If you have any information about Daniel Coverston's murder, regardless of how insignificant you may think it is, please contact Baltimore County Police Homicide detectives at 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
