Father Arrested in Christmas Eve Homicide

Baltimore County detectives have arrested 30-year-old Mark C. Jones in the fatal shooting of four-year-old Jacobi Jones and the non-fatal shooting of two others. This incident occurred on December 24, 2024, in the unit block of Breslin Court, 21237. Jones is currently being held without bond.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department Homicide Unit continue investigating the circumstances surrounding a domestic-related assault that resulted in a fatal shooting on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. At approximately 6:35 a.m., officers responded to the unit block of Breslin Court, 21237, for reports of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located an adult female along with two juveniles suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body. Medics transported the three victims to an area hospital, where one juvenile was pronounced deceased. An adult male, believed to be the suspect in this case, sustained a self-inflicted gunshot and was also transported to an area hospital. 

This isolated incident stemmed from a domestic dispute, and there is no threat to the community at this time.
