Suspect in Custody Following Domestic Dispute

21-year-old Xander Fried has been charged with first-degree murder. Fried is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. The victim in this case has been identified as 57-year-old Melanie Fried.

Baltimore County homicide detectives have taken a suspect into custody following a fatal stabbing that occurred earlier today in the 100 block of Brightside Ave., 21208. At approximately 1:45 p.m., officers responded to the residence after being notified of a domestic dispute between a family member and the homeowner. When officers arrived on scene, they located the wounded victim inside the home. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. This remains an ongoing investigation.
