Swift Response by Patrol Officers Results in Arrest of Shooting Suspects
Baltimore County police officers have arrested two adult suspects following a shooting that occurred on Monday, January 20 in the area of Bayner and Sandalwood roads, 21221. At approximately, 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the area after reports of shots fired. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. The juvenile was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Due to the quick response of patrol officers, the suspects were located and placed under arrest. The suspects are currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond on charges including attempted first-degree murder. Based on their investigation, detectives with the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit believe this to be a targeted incident.
