Tobacco-Free Baltimore County Coalition
The Tobacco-Free Baltimore County Coalition is a community coalition that examines the provision of tobacco services in the county, including education, enforcement, cessation and outreach activities. The Coalition Leadership team consists of a representative from the Baltimore County Department of Health and two community representatives who serve as co-chairpersons and are elected by the Coalition.
The Coalition:
- Provides leadership, advocacy and support to the Baltimore County Department of Health’s Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Program
- Advises the Department in program plans to maximize the health benefits to the community
- Discusses local, state and federal legislation concerning tobacco issues and the impact on the community
- Corresponds with legislators and officials in addressing the needs of the community
