Baltimore County is hiring lifeguards, attendants, cashiers, camp counselors, and managers for the summer 2025 season.
Lifeguards
American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR Certification will be provided if needed. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Beach and Park Managers and Assistant Managers
American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR Certification will be provided if needed. Enforce rules, manage transactions, supervise and schedule staff. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Cashier/Park Attendants
Experience helpful but not necessary. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Watersports Attendants
Supervise rentals of watersports equipment and lead aquatics programs and instruction. Experience helpful but not necessary. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Loch Raven Fishing Center Assistant Managers
Enforce rules, manage transactions, supervise and schedule staff. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Watersports Attendants
Supervise rentals of watersports equipment and lead aquatics programs and instruction. Experience helpful but not necessary. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Seasonal Park Rangers
Patrols park and beach sites ensuring compliance with park rules and ordinances. Provides environmental education and watersports programs and oversees the daily operation and maintenance of assigned facility. Position requires the ability to work weekends.
Fishing Center Attendants
Experience helpful but not necessary. Position requires the ability to work weekends.

Baltimore County's non-profit parks councils are composed entirely of volunteers who donate their time to provide their neighbors with a wide variety of recreational opportunities. PROGRAM LEADERSHIP EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Department of Recreation and Parks community offices and facilities routinely accepts applications for occasional employees who typically work on an as-needed, on-call basis to support various recreation and nature programs. Communities across Baltimore County depend on these employees for the successful execution of programs.
Examples of responsibilities include:
- Assisting participants in therapeutic recreational programs
- Conducting guided tours of nature centers
- Lining ball fields
- Monitoring facilities for cleanliness and maintenance requirements
- Providing a warm welcome to visitors at front desks
- Working with youth in after-school programs
These duties may be performed both indoors and outdoors, depending on the specific community, facility and program.
