All three drop-off centers, including the Eastern Sanitary Landfill, are currently in service with normal operating hours (including the usual holiday schedule). Yard material brought to County drop-off centers for recycling must be contained in paper bags. Starting January 1, 2025, the annual limit on RDOC visits for Baltimore County residents will be increased from 6 visits to 10.

Trash, recycling and yard material collections are operating on a normal schedule. 

Senior Centers  are operating on a normal schedule. 

CountyRide is in full service.

All Baltimore County Animal Services facilities are open and operating normally.

The Circuit Court for Baltimore County is operating on a normal schedule.

Baltimore County general government offices are operating on a normal schedule. Any exceptions for specific agencies or programs will be noted in the chart below.

Due to extreme heat, all visitors, including athletes, guardians, coaches, and volunteers should at a minimum take extra steps for outdoor activities including:

• hydrating before, during and after physical activity,
• making frequent substitutions from play, and
• modifying any activities that involve helmets or bulky protective equipment.

All activities on artificial turf fields are canceled on Tuesday.

Coaches and leaders of outdoor activities must check the heat index (the “feels like” temperature) at weather.com at game or practice time.

When the heat index is between 100 and 103 degrees, outdoor activities should be reduced by 25 to 40 percent.  Practices should be shortened.  A one-hour practice requires at least three breaks of at least five minutes, including shade and cold water.

When the heat index is above 103 degrees, outdoor activities are canceled.
