Engineering Records
Due to limited staffing, the Records Office will occasionally close early for the day, or for lunch. Contact us to verify our daily hours.
Engineering Records is responsible for preservation and reproduction of County-maintained construction drawings denoting public-maintained utilities, including:
- Alleys
- Bridges
- Culverts
- Roads
- Sanitary sewers
- Storm drains
- Stormwater management
- Stream restoration
- Water
Note: Records of any water and sewer pipes located on private property, unless in the County's right-of-way, are not be kept by Baltimore County.
REQUEST RECORDS
All requests for drawings and information must be submitted electronically by following the process outlined below. Prints are available for a nominal fee.
Note: Do not initiate payment until you have completed steps one and two.
Email your completed Engineering Records Request form, as well as a map indicating the area needed, to engrec@baltimorecountymd.gov.
Our staff will respond via email with the reference number and payment amount needed to process your online payment.
- Log in to the online payment system. You will be asked to create an account if you don't already have one.
- Once logged in, select the "Online Payments" tab.
- Select “Engineering Records Request" as your transaction type, and enter the reference number and fee amount provided to you by staff.
- Complete your online payment.
After payment verification, staff will respond via email within 48 hours with a link to your digital documents. This link will be valid for 24 hours.
