Analytics and Quality Assurance
The Baltimore County website is only as good as the information on it. Quality management keeps pages current and helps your customers find what they need quickly and easily. In order to best serve customers, web analytics may also be requested, in order to assess usability of pages and content, or to support efforts to optimize. Analytics and reports can include metrics on user and traffic acquisition sources, user engagement, page views and clicks, link clicks, page views per user, and more.
To maintain proper site authority, accessibility requirements and UX best practices, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) reserves the right to modify or remove pages and files housed on BaltimoreCountyMD.gov. Including but not limited to the following:
- Removal and replacement of broken links
- Inappropriate and non-compliant images
- Grammatical errors
- Removal of duplicate or redundant pages
- Modifications to page elements to meet W3C Accessibility standards
- Removal of pages and files that fall outside of retention requirements
- Removal of pages and PDFs that are accessed infrequently, as determined by web traffic analysis. Once this occurs, the OIT may deny posting similar pages and documents in the future.
