Forms and Form Elements
COLLECTING DATA
As with all web efforts, we apply usable and accessible concepts and forms are no exception. Web Services compiles forms that are easy to read and complete following industry standards. Content provided by an agency will be converted into a form using Drupal or County-approved, third-party tools, like Wufoo or Jotform. Microsoft Forms is approved for internal use only and should not be used to collect data on Baltimore County public-facing websites.
SECURE INFORMATION
Personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) as defined by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) cannot be collected in an insecure, unencrypted or non-HIPAA compliant web form. Drupal or Wufoo web forms are not considered a secure way to collect PII or PHI. If you have a business need to collect PII or PHI, contact Web Services for more information about Jotform.
STORING AND ACCESS TO DATA
Data from online form entries can be stored and exported in .csv, .txt or XML format. Web Services will convert exported reports to an Excel format such as .xlsx upon request.
Form data retention can be found under the retention policy.
